Geekiness

For those of you who don't know I write on another blog over at Reality By Pass. This month we're celebrating the Urban Fantasy genre with posts about monsters, UF books and author interviews. Today's author interview is with Anton Strout, the author of the book Dead to Me. He's a complete hoot to talk to and the interview is a lot of fun. Pop on over here and give it a read and don't forget to enter the contest for our October grab bag.

Game Reviews: The Abbey and Dark Horizons

Today's game review links come from my sweet husband who also writes for Strategy Informer these days. He's their news guru, and finished reviews for The Abbey (an adventure game) and Dark Horizons (Ship simulator and space arcade).

Go take a look. :)

Game Review: Strong Bad Episode 2

It's a new month and there's a new Strong Bad game available from TellTale games. My review is up HERE at Strategy Informer.

I'm really liking the Strong Bad games. Mostly they're like being in an interactive Strong Bad email skit for about 4 hours, so it's not high humor or brain racking puzzling, but for a nice sit back and just giggle game it's worth it. You pay 9 bucks for the episode and get out 4-6 hours, so still a better bang for my buck than most of what's at the theater right now!

TV Review: Fringe

So my Bunny and I saw the premier episode of Fringe yesterday. It was actually pretty good. I see it as a reimagined X-files more than anything, but that nostalgia may be to the show's benefit.

The acting was believable and I like the characters they're building. Some of the character choices not so much, but I was left wondering if that was a byproduct of the episodic format where someone doesn't have a week to make a choice, even if it's more realistic than the immediate.

Okay, and Josh Jackson is kinda a cutie....

Visit here for more info.

I'll be keeping an eye on it and sharing insight, such as it is, as it goes.
